15.04.202610:00:00UTC+00Ghana’s Producer Inflation Edges Up to 1.5% in March, Signalling Mild Price Pressures

Ghana’s Producer Price Index (PPI) inched higher in March 2026, with year-over-year producer inflation rising to 1.50%, up from 1.40% in February 2026. The data, updated on 15 April 2026, indicate a modest acceleration in price growth at the factory gate compared with the same month a year earlier.

The PPI figures are calculated on a year-over-year basis, meaning the March 2026 reading reflects the change in producer prices relative to March of the previous year, while February’s figure compared prices to February a year earlier. The slight uptick suggests a mild build-up in cost pressures for producers, which may gradually feed through to consumer prices if the trend persists.
