21.05.202614:00:00UTC+00Atlanta Fed GDPNow Estimate for Q2 2026 Edges Up to 4.3%

The Atlanta Federal Reserve’s GDPNow model has revised its estimate for U.S. economic growth in the second quarter of 2026 to 4.3%, up from a previous projection of 4.0%. The latest update, published on 21 May 2026, suggests a modest strengthening in real GDP growth expectations.

While the change is incremental, the move from 4.0% to 4.3% indicates that incoming data for Q2 2026 have been slightly more robust than previously anticipated. The GDPNow estimate, which tracks real-time economic indicators to model quarterly GDP, is closely watched by markets as an early, high-frequency gauge of U.S. growth momentum.

The revision underscores that, as of late May, the U.S. economy is projected to expand at a solid pace in the second quarter, with the updated 4.3% figure marking a firming of growth expectations compared with earlier in the quarter.
