27.07.202602:14:25UTC+00Hong Kong Stocks Edge Higher at Week's Start

The Hang Seng Index rose 0.4% (101 points) to 25,063 on Monday, retracing losses from the previous session, with technology and financial shares leading the rebound. The advance came as investors positioned ahead of a busy week of global events, including major central bank policy meetings and a dense calendar of corporate earnings.
Sentiment was further supported by easing geopolitical tensions after the United States paused airstrikes on Iran over the weekend, sending oil prices sharply lower and bolstering global risk appetite. Optimism over Hong Kong’s IPO pipeline, underpinned by Shein’s continued progress toward a Hong Kong listing, also underwrote the more positive tone.
However, upside remained capped by caution as investors awaited the US Federal Reserve’s monetary policy decision and the release of China’s PMI data later in the week. Among notable movers, Xiaomi gained 4.8%, Meituan rose 3.2%, Z.Ai Co. added 0.7%, Tencent advanced 0.8%, and Trip.com jumped 7.4%.
