24.08.202613:00:00UTC+00French 12-Month BTF Yields Edge Higher to 2.832% at Latest Auction

Yields on France’s 12-month BTFs (bons du Trésor à taux fixe et à intérêts précomptés) have ticked up at the latest auction, with the average rate rising to 2.832% from 2.781% previously, according to data updated on 24 August 2026.

The modest increase in the 12-month yield suggests slightly higher short-term borrowing costs for the French Treasury compared to the prior auction. While the move is incremental, it may reflect shifting expectations around interest rate paths or evolving demand dynamics for short-dated sovereign paper within the euro area.

Investors will be watching upcoming auctions and central bank signals closely to gauge whether this uptick marks the beginning of a more sustained rise in French short-term funding costs or remains a minor adjustment within a relatively stable rate environment.
