27.08.202606:00:00UTC+00Lithuania’s Retail Sales Growth Cools to 5.2% in July, Easing From June Peak

Lithuania’s retail sector remained in expansion territory in July 2026, but at a slower pace than a month earlier. Year-over-year retail sales growth eased to 5.2% in July, down from 6.9% in June 2026, according to data updated on 27 August 2026.

Both figures compare monthly performance with the same month a year earlier, showing that while consumer spending is still rising, the momentum has moderated since June. The June reading had marked a stronger year-over-year gain, suggesting that July’s data may indicate a cooling in demand or a normalization following earlier strength in the retail sector.

The latest numbers will be closely watched by analysts and policymakers, as retail sales are a key gauge of domestic consumption and overall economic activity in Lithuania. The deceleration from June’s pace could influence expectations for growth in the second half of 2026.
