Brazil’s producer prices fell 0.83% month-on-month in July 2026, deepening a downwardly revised 0.81% drop in June and marking the steepest monthly decline in more than a year. Price decreases were recorded in 11 of the 24 industrial activities surveyed.

The sharpest falls came from petroleum refining and biofuels (-5.65%), followed by other chemicals (-4.49%) and extractive industries (-4.38%). Overall, manufacturing industry prices declined 0.67%.

On the upside, computers, electronic and optical products posted the largest increase, with prices rising 11.37%.

By major economic category, capital goods prices advanced 2.75%, while intermediate goods fell 1.83% and consumer goods edged down 0.10%. Within consumer goods, durable goods prices declined 0.37%, and semi-durable and non-durable goods slipped 0.05%.

Despite the monthly drop, producer prices were up 3.09% in the year to date and 1.94% in the 12 months through July.
