07.09.202608:30:00UTC+00Singapore’s Foreign Reserves Climb to $433 Billion in August, Extending Uptrend

Singapore’s foreign exchange reserves rose in August 2026, underscoring the city-state’s continued external strength. Official data updated on 7 September 2026 show reserves increasing to USD 433.0 billion, up from USD 427.9 billion in July 2026.

On a month-over-month basis, the latest figure marks a gain of USD 5.1 billion compared with July, when reserves had previously stood at USD 427.9 billion. The August reading extends the upward trajectory in Singapore’s reserve position, with the “Actual” measure reflecting the month-on-month change against July, while the “Previous” measure captures July’s change relative to June.

The continued buildup of reserves suggests Singapore maintains substantial buffers to support financial stability and currency management as global markets navigate shifting economic and monetary conditions.
