30.09.202607:09:45UTC+00Georgia GDP Growth Slows in August

Georgia’s economy grew by 6.3% year-on-year in August 2026, the slowest pace since April and down from 8.0% in July. Growth was driven primarily by strong performance in manufacturing, information and communication, financial and insurance services, real estate, trade, and transportation and storage. By contrast, construction activity declined compared with a year earlier. Over the first eight months of the year, average real GDP growth stood at 7.6%. External trade continued to support economic activity: exports rose 22.1% year-on-year to $5.42 billion, imports increased 3.4% to $12.50 billion, and total merchandise trade turnover expanded by 8.4% to $17.93 billion.
