06.10.202607:31:44UTC+00DAX Rises for 3rd Session

Frankfurt’s DAX 40 opened 0.6% higher on Tuesday, moving above 25,400 and extending its rally to a third straight session, supported by gains in major US technology shares and softer oil prices that bolstered global equities.

Investors are closely monitoring a series of economic indicators. German industrial orders dropped 10.6% in August, a far steeper decline than the 1% fall forecast by analysts. Construction PMI figures are due later in the day, and markets are also awaiting remarks from ECB Governing Council member Olli Rehn on the economic outlook and monetary policy.

Persistent concerns over France’s fiscal position remain a drag on broader European sentiment, having recently pushed the euro to a 17‑month low.

On the corporate front, Merck led the index higher with a gain of 3.79%, followed by Qiagen NV, up 3.40%, and Henkel, which added 1.67%. On the downside, Daimler Truck Holding slipped 1.07%, while Rheinmetall and Beiersdorf declined 0.53% and 0.34%, respectively. Porsche is also in the spotlight as the automaker hosts a media day.
