14.10.202609:50:00UTC+00Yield Eases at German 30-Year Bund Auction, Slipping to 3.80%

Germany’s latest 30-year Bund auction showed a modest decline in long-term borrowing costs, with the yield falling to 3.800% from a previous level of 3.900%, according to data updated on 14 October 2026.

The move suggests a slight improvement in demand for ultra-long German government debt or shifting market expectations for long-term interest rates and inflation. A lower yield indicates investors are willing to accept a smaller return to hold Germany’s longest-dated sovereign bonds, often seen as a key benchmark for euro area fixed-income markets.

While the change is incremental, movements at the long end of the yield curve are closely watched by institutional investors as they can influence pricing across European bond markets and inform expectations about future monetary and fiscal conditions in Germany and the wider eurozone.
