NZ Dollar Climbs As RBNZ Remains Interest Rate Unchanged

During the early Asian session on Thursday, the New Zealand dollar edged up against its major counterparts after the Reserve Bank of New Zealand held its benchmark interest rate unchanged, as expected.

RBNZ Governor Alan Bollard announced the Official Cash Rate would remain at 2.50 percent since March 2011.

As of now, the kiwi is trading near 0.8170 against the US dollar, 66.45 versus the yen, 1.2694 a against the Australian dollar and 1.6200 versus the euro.
