Nikkei and Kospi Opens on Firm Note, Keeps the Momentum Going


News

  • Nikkei opened up 1.46 pct and trading now at 1.50 pct up while Kospi opened up 1.46 pct but declined slightly to trade at 1.0 pct up at 0100 GMT
  • Reduced strains in Spanish debt market and decent US corporate earnings which helped US indices to make some smart gains for second day in a raw also helped the sentiment
  • On South Korean bourse, LG (+2.5 pct) and Samsung  (+2.2 pct) gained after US panel rejected plea by Whirlpool accusing the formers of dumping bottom mount refrigerators at unfairly low price
