Polish industrial output growth accelerated in June from the previous month, a report by the Central Statistical Office showed on Monday.

Industrial production increased 14.5% year-on-year in June, faster than a 13.5% growth in the previous month, which was revised from 14% rise reported initially. Economists had expected an increase of 11.5%.

Manufacturing output increased 15.8% annually in June, faster than a 14.5% growth in the previous month. At the same time, mining and quarying output rose to 6.1% from 5.7%. Production in electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply grew 4.1%.

On a monthly basis, indusrial production climbed 7% in June, accelerating from 1.6% rise in May, which was revised from 2% rise estimated initially. Manufacturing output grew 7.6% and mining and quarrying output rose 7.2%. For the first six months of the year, production increased 10.6% compared to the same period of the previous year.

Meanwhile, the construction output grew 9.6% on an annual basis in June, faster than a 2.3% rise in the previous month. Month-on-month, construction output increased to 24.4% from 17.5%. In the January to June period, the construction output slipped 6.1% over a year ago.
