The government of Merkel under the threat of disintegration: Migrants.

On the weekend, an informal summit of the leaders of the EU countries was held. Germany gathered it to discuss the problem of migrants. We already wrote that in Germany, the problem of the influx of refugees threatens the collapse of the government of Merkel. Merkel is accused of allowing an influx of millions of refugees from the Middle East and Africa into Germany. Merkel's ally, CSU party, and its representative in the government, the Minister of the Interior, Seehofer, put forward an ultimatum or Merkel will achieve a restriction of the influx of migrants or the Ministry of Internal Affairs will act independently. The fact is that refugees must stay in the country where they asked for asylum. It is clear that the countries that have access to the Mediterranean Sea are at a disadvantage, the refugees come by sea.

Merkel tried to negotiate at an emergency informal summit but met with a stiff rebuff, primarily from the new nationalist government of Italy, Merkel said a stern "no", and the new leader of Italy was very pleased with this.

The official EU summit will be held on Thursday and Friday and the issue of migrants will be discussed. But it is clear that Merkel's great success is not to be expected, which means that Merkel is waiting for difficult times.
