Biden says US can avert recession

US President Joe Biden is still optimistic about the future of the US economy. He believes that the country is resilient to a recession in the face of high inflation and other economic shocks. The US leader is confident that these are just temporary headwinds that Americans will cope with in the near future.

In a recent interview, Joe Biden said that a recession was not inevitable despite rampant inflation. According to him, Americans are feeling “down” due to two years of the coronavirus pandemic, the economic instability, and a dramatic rise in gasoline prices.

“First of all, it’s not inevitable. Secondly, we’re in a stronger position than any nation in the world to overcome this inflation,” the US president said.

Biden expressed optimism, pointing to a low unemployment rate and adding that the United States is “better positioned than any country in the world to own the second quarter of the 21st century.”
