Notably, the deal was estimated at $44 billion. In late July, Twitter filed a lawsuit against Elon Musk, accusing him of walking away from the merger deal and claiming associated costs. The social media management will force Musk to complete the acquisition by a court’s decision. However, the businessman countersued, accusing Twitter of “misrepresentations or omissions” that distorted the company’s value and caused him to agree to buy it at an inflated price.
