The net profit by MasterCard grew by 14,6% in the 3rd quarter, thus having constituted 518 mln dollars, which is 3,94 dollars per share. A year ago the company earned 452 mln dollars for the same period. These data was released today by MasterCard operator of the payment system bearing the same name. The revenue of MasterCard jumped 5,1% - up to 1,43 bln dollars. A year before this index was at 1,36 bln dollars level. The operational profit increased by 13,8% up to 766 mln dollars versus 673 mln dollars a year before, the document says. The number of transactions carried out via MasterCard grew by 0,6% in the 3rd quarter, having thus achieved 5,8 bln. As of the end of the current September the company’s clients dispose 1,6 bln MasterCard and Maestro cards. By the end of the first nine months of the current year the net profit made by the American Company boosted by 22,2% and amounted to 1,43 bln dollars. The net profit of the corporation rose by 7,9% - up to 4,1 bln dollars, while the gain of the operational profit is 21,8%, which brought it up to 2,18 bln dollars.
