New Zealand inflation expectation for two year ahead slowed in the fourth quarter, data from Reserve Bank of New Zealand showed on Tuesday.

The inflation expectation for the next two years slowed marginally to 1.80 percent in fourth quarter from 1.86 percent rise in the previous quarter.

The latest inflation expectation was the lowest since fourth quarter in 2016, when it was 1.68 percent.

Inflation expectations for one year ahead fell to 1.66 percent in fourth quarter from 1.71 percent in the preceding quarter.

House prices are expected to grow 4.51 percent over the next one year and rise 4.08 percent for the two years time.

Expectations for GDP growth rose to 2.14 percent in fourth quarter for one year and to 2.15 percent for the two year ahead.

The unemployment rate in one year and two year is expected to rise 4.25 percent and 4.27 percent, respectively.
