2010.12.1004:14:00UTC+00Norwegian Nov Annual Inflation Slows

Norwegian consumer price annual inflation slowed to 1.9% in November from 2% in October, Statistics Norway said on Friday. The rate came in line with economists' expectations.

Due to an increase in energy prices, the consumer price index rose 0.2% on a monthly basis, in line with forecast. The increase was slightly faster than the 0.1% rise seen in October.

Core annual inflation in November was 1%, unchanged from October and matched consensus forecast. Month-on-month, the core CPI edged up 0.1%.

The Harmonized Index of Consumer Prices increased 0.2% from October taking the annual increase to 1.5%. In October, EU harmonised annual inflation was 1.7%.
