Chile's Producer Price Index (PPI) fell 0.6% in September on a monthly basis, abruptly decelerating after rising for four consecutive months, said the country's statistics office.

In twelve months through September, the Chilean PPI rose 12.1%, a subtle deceleration from the 12.6% annual increase recorded in August.

Among sectors, the mining industry posted the most negative contribution to the monthly variation (-1.1%). Meanwhile, the electricity, gas and water remained stable, while manufacturing decreased 0.1%.
