2017.09.2906:30:00UTC+00Denmark Q2 GDP Expands More Than Estimated

Denmark's economy expanded more than estimated in the three months ended June, latest figures from Statistics Denmark showed Friday.

Gross domestic product advanced 0.7 percent sequentially in the second quarter instead of a 0.6 percent growth reported in the second estimate.

During the first quarter, the rate of expansion was 0.5 percent, which was revised down from 0.6 percent.

On the expenditure side, private consumption remained unchanged compared with the previous quarter. At the same time, gross fixed capital formation registered a growth of 2.9 percent.

Both exports and imports grew by 0.8 percent and 2.1 percent, respectively.

Total growth for the first half of 2017 compared with the same period in 2016 was 2.6 percent, revised down from 2.7 percent.
