2017.10.3102:28:00UTC+00European Economics Preview: Eurozone GDP, Inflation Data Due

Flash quarterly national accounts, inflation and unemployment figures from Eurozone are due on Tuesday, headlining a busy day for the European economic news.

At 2.30 am ET, the French statistical office Insee releases GDP data. The economy is forecast to grow 0.5 percent sequentially in the third quarter.

At 3.45 am ET, preliminary consumer prices and consumer spending are due from France. Inflation is expected to remain unchanged at 1 percent in October.

At 4.00 am ET, trade data from Turkey and producer prices from Hungary are due.

At 5.00 am ET, Italy's unemployment data is due. The jobless rate is forecast to fall to 11.1 percent in September from 11.2 percent in August.

At 6.00 am ET, Eurostat is scheduled to issue euro area GDP and consumer price figures. GDP is forecast to grow 0.5 percent on quarter in the third quarter, slower than the 0.6 percent rise in the second quarter.

Inflation is seen unchanged at 1.5 percent in October. The jobless data is also due from Eurostat. Economists forecast the unemployment rate to fall to 9 percent in September from 9.1 percent in August.
