Saudi Aramco to pay $18.7 billion as dividend for Q1 2020

Nowadays, the revenue from oil exports is usually associated with unlimited profits. This statement is especially relevant when talking about Saudi Aramco, an oil giant in the Middle East, which is planning to make an impressive dividend payment. According to Saudi Aramco officials, the company will pay a record dividend of $18.75 billion for the first quarter of 2020. This is considered to be the largest dividend payment among all public companies listed worldwide. Saudi Aramco set such a high dividend rate when placing its first initial public offering in December last year. In its recent financial report for Q1 in 2020, Saudi Aramco said total dividends of $13.4 billion were paid for the fourth quarter of 2019. Notably, the company’s full-year goal is to pay $75 billion in dividends in 2020. Experts note that this amount will exceed the last year’s payment of $73.2.
