As soon as crypto currencies entered the modern society and became mainstream payment means and investment, tycoons have been tempted to allocate some space for digital tokens in their investment portfolios. They face a dilemma. Will they benefit more from fiat or crypto money? Elon Musk, who is Tesla and SpaceX CEO and the leader in Forbes ratings, is also mulling over his investment opportunities. The genius entrepreneur and engineer seems to have decided in favor of digital currencies. 

"The true battle is between fiat & crypto. On balance, I support the latter," the high-tech mogul wrote in his Twitter account. However, Elon Musk has gone a long way from flat rejection of virtual money towards approval. Originally, he advocated for cryptocurrencies and even turned his hand to developing the Dogecoin project. Elon Musk found this idea promising. Later, he termed the project a scam. Besides, Tesla suspended payments for electric cars in Bitcoins. Environmentally-conscious Tesla CEO posted a chart of Bitcoin's power consumption and said: "Energy usage trend over past few months is insane." In the same tweet, he noted that the company is interested in other more efficient crypto projects.
