In March 2025, producer prices in Chile rose by 5.9% compared to the previous year, marking the lowest increase since January 2024, and following an 8.6% rise in February. The data indicates a decrease in prices for manufacturing, which fell by 0.2%, down from a 2.2% increase. Additionally, there was a slowdown in price growth for the sectors of mining, with a 6.1% rise compared to 9.5%, construction items increasing by 0.7% versus 3.6%, and utilities posting a 26.4% gain compared to 26.8%. On a monthly scale, the Producer Price Index (PPI) edged up by 0.4% in March after a 0.8% drop in February, primarily influenced by price hikes in copper (1.7%), wine (1.8%), and utilities (0.3%).
