In September 2025, South Korea's Composite Consumer Sentiment Index recorded a slight decline, standing at 110.1, compared to 111.4 in August. Consumers' attitudes concerning their current living standards held firm at 96, while their expectations for the future saw a minor decrease to 100. Sentiments regarding future household income remained stable at 102, while the outlook for future household expenditure experienced a slight drop, settling at 110. Perceptions of the current state of the domestic economy decreased by two points to 91, and anticipation for future economic conditions fell by three points to 97. Overall, the data indicates a gentle softening of confidence in both current and future economic evaluations. Inflation expectations remained consistent, with anticipated rates over one, three, and five years all steady at 2.5%. Despite minor downturns in several indicators, consumer sentiment continues to portray a generally positive economic confidence.
