U.S. stock futures edged lower on Friday following a mixed session on Wall Street, as investors remained cautious ahead of the Good Friday break amid ongoing tensions in the Middle East. President Trump warned that the conflict with Iran could last for weeks and pledged to hit Tehran “extremely hard,” comments that pushed oil prices higher and heightened inflation worries.

On trade policy, Trump signed an executive order that could allow tariffs of up to 100% on certain patented drugs if manufacturers fail to reach agreements with his administration. He also reiterated plans to impose 50% tariffs on imported steel, aluminum, and copper.

In corporate developments, Tesla reported that first-quarter deliveries and production increased year over year but declined from the previous quarter, sending its shares down more than 5%. By contrast, Globalstar surged 13% on reports that Amazon may be weighing a potential acquisition.

Despite the cautious tone, the S&P 500 notched its first weekly advance since the outbreak of the conflict with Tehran, and the Dow and Nasdaq also finished the week higher.
