Producer prices in Malta rose by 1.5% year-on-year in June 2026, unchanged from the revised figure for May and remaining at their highest level since October 2023 for the second consecutive month. Energy prices were stable compared with May.

Price pressures eased in several categories: inflation slowed for intermediate goods (2.7% vs. 2.9%) and capital goods (5.0% vs. 5.1%). Consumer goods prices were flat, following a 0.4% decline in the previous month. Within consumer goods, prices of durable goods were steady at 0.1%, while non-durable goods were unchanged after a 0.5% drop in May.

By market, producer price inflation picked up in both the domestic market (1.0% vs. 0.9%) and the non-domestic market (2.1% vs. 2.0%). However, export price growth to the Euro Area edged down (3.3% vs. 3.4%), while that to non-Euro Area markets strengthened (1.0% vs. 0.8%). Month-on-month, producer prices were flat in June, following a 1.2% increase in May.
