US Jobless Claims Show No Change
loader

Yesterday the US Department of Labor published data, according to which the number of initial jobless claims stood unchanged by May 12 at the level of 370 thousand.

Meanwhile, the analytical projections were showing the indicator to contract by 5 thousand - to 365 thousand. The latest figures approve that the labor market rehab creep slowly and hard way.

Lack of employment rising in the USA pulls back the consumer expenditures, which make about 70% of the countrys gross domestic product.

The rate of repeated jobless claims advanced to 3 million 265 thousand from the revised reading of 3 million 247 million people a week before. This mark came as a surprise for experts waiting to see a decline to 3 million 225 thousand of unemployed.
