Bechtle AG has reported preliminary figures indicating that earnings before taxes for fiscal year 2024 were approximately 345 million euros, marking an 8% decrease compared to the previous year. The EBT margin was recorded at 5.5%, slightly lower than the 5.8% margin reported last year.

The company highlighted a business volume increase of roughly 2%, reaching nearly 8 billion euros, largely due to significant growth in its software sector. However, under IFRS 15 regulations, this growth cannot be completely recognised, resulting in a reported revenue drop of about 2%.

In the fourth quarter, Bechtle AG experienced a modest business revival, which can be attributed to a robust final month. The business volume saw an increase of about 4% from October to December. Despite a revenue decline of about 5% and a 6% dip in earnings, the severe earnings reduction observed in earlier quarters was alleviated. The EBT margin for the quarter stood at 5.6%, compared to 5.7% in the corresponding period of the previous year.
