Belgium's business confidence index climbed by 3.4 points, reaching -10.1 in June 2025, up from -13.5 in May. This marks the third consecutive month of improvement. The manufacturing sector witnessed a robust recovery, improving to -11.6 from -16.1 in May. This was bolstered by better evaluations of order books, enhanced demand outlooks, and a more positive employment forecast. Business-related services saw a resurgence, with confidence rising to -2.6 from -9.0, attributable to more favorable assessments of current activities and significantly stronger market demand expectations. Conversely, the building industry experienced a decline in confidence, dropping to -10.2 from -7.5, largely due to diminished order book evaluations and decreased equipment usage, despite expectations for improved demand. In the trade sector, confidence fell to -13.9 from -10.9, primarily driven by increasingly negative demand expectations.
