In July 2025, Mexico saw a 7.9% increase in car exports compared to the same period last year, reaching a total of 289,598 units, building on a notable 14% rise in the previous month. Among the leading exporters, Volkswagen experienced a significant increase of 30.6%, exporting 30,682 units. Stellantis exported 32,479 units, marking a 24.3% rise, and General Motors saw a 22% increase, with exports totaling 69,707 units. However, there were significant declines for other manufacturers, with BMW Group exporting 7,210 units, a drop of 38.2%; Honda's exports decreased by 20.9% to 20,233 units, and Mercedes-Benz saw a decline of 17.7%, with 6,082 units exported. During the first half of 2025, total exports dropped by 1.4% to 1.96 million units. The majority of exports went to the United States, which constituted 79.3% of the total, followed by Canada at 10.9% and Germany at 2.8%.
