In September 2025, Slovenia achieved a trade surplus of EUR 176.6 million, marking a turnaround from the EUR 551.8 million deficit recorded in the same month the previous year. This development was propelled by a 12.4% increase in exports, amounting to EUR 4,848.3 million. The rise in exports was particularly significant in sales to non-EU countries, which surged by 28.1%, while exports to EU countries saw a decline of 3.9%. On the import side, Slovenia experienced a 4% reduction, bringing imports to EUR 4,671.7 million. This decrease was observed in purchases from EU countries, which fell by 8.1%, and from non-EU countries, which saw a slight decline of 0.4%. For the period from January to August, Slovenia reported a trade surplus of EUR 2,033.2 million, a remarkable improvement from the EUR 2,886.7 million deficit recorded during the same timeframe the previous year.
