In September 2025, Moldova experienced a notable increase in industrial production, which rose by 9.0% compared to the same month in the previous year. This growth surge, up from a 3.3% increase in August, represents the seventh consecutive month of expansion. The manufacturing sector saw a particularly strong performance with an 8.8% increase, up from 4.1% in August, driven by substantial gains in the production of computer, electronic, and optical products, as well as fabricated metal products, various non-metallic mineral products, wood and wood products, and prepared animal feeds. Additionally, there was a significant recovery in electricity, gas, steam, and air-conditioning supply, which advanced by 11.8% after suffering a downturn of 5.7% previously. Mining and quarrying also rebounded robustly, showing a 10.2% rise following a 1.3% decline. On a month-to-month basis, industrial output increased by 7.7%, a sharp recovery from a previous 4% decrease.
