On Tuesday, U.S. stock futures remained largely unchanged following a subdued start to December on Wall Street, triggered by a renewed cautious sentiment in the markets. Investors are keenly observing the Federal Reserve's policy trajectory, with over 85% of market participants predicting a 25 basis point rate cut at the upcoming meeting. The Federal Reserve has now commenced its blackout period. Economic data releases are resuming their regular schedule after the government shutdown, drawing attention to the delayed September Personal Consumption Expenditures index, the Fed's favored measure of inflation, which is expected later this week. Moreover, investors are contemplating a potential change in leadership at the Federal Reserve. President Trump announced on Sunday that he has selected a successor, though he did not disclose a name. White House economic adviser Kevin Hassett is widely considered a leading candidate. In the tech sector, most stocks declined due to ongoing concerns about valuations and AI expenditure. However, Nvidia saw a 1.7% increase after it announced an expanded collaboration with Synopsys along with a $2 billion investment, which consequently boosted Synopsys shares by nearly 5%.
