Additionally, anticipation was building for the release of the minutes from the Federal Reserve's December meeting later in the day, alongside the upcoming U.S. weekly jobless claims report. Notable decliners in the market comprised Aneka Tambang, which fell by 3.6%, Alamtri Mineral by 3.1%, Bank Rakyat Indonesia by 2.7%, and Indoritel Makmur Intl. by 1.7%. Nevertheless, despite this pullback, markets are poised to conclude the year with an impressive gain of approximately 22%, marking the most robust performance since 2014. This strong showing has been buoyed by significant advances in conglomerate stocks, a more accommodative stance from the central bank, and government initiatives aimed at mitigating external and internal challenges.
