In December 2025, the HCOB Eurozone Services PMI fell to 52.4, slightly revised down from the preliminary estimate of 52.6 and a decrease from November's 53.6, marking the slowest growth in the past three months. The rise in new business was the slowest it had been in three months, with the increase limited to domestic markets as export orders experienced their steepest decline since September 2025. Meanwhile, there was a more rapid decline in outstanding business, suggesting reduced pressure on workloads. In terms of pricing, cost pressures intensified with input cost inflation rising, prompting firms to increase their selling prices at a rate above the average. Additionally, business confidence among service providers reached a seven-month low, with concerns about demand conditions and the general economic outlook dampening sentiment as the new year approached.
