In December 2025, Sweden's Services PMI decreased to 56.7 from a revised 59.2 in November, which had reached its peak since June 2022. Even with this decline, the index surpassed its historical average of 55.6 for the fourth consecutive month. The most significant downturn was observed in business volume, with the corresponding sub-index slipping to 57 from November's 65.6. Similarly, the delivery times index fell to 57.1 from 59.6, and the order backlog index decreased marginally from 58.3 to 57.7. Furthermore, the employment index dipped into negative territory, marking a shift from 50 in November to 49.8. Conversely, the index for raw and intermediate goods prices climbed to its highest in 11 months, rising from 57.5 to 59.2, highlighting ongoing price pressures in the sector. Jörgen Kennemar, who oversees the PMI analysis, noted, "Despite a weaker conclusion to the year, the sector gained significant traction in the fourth quarter. The effects of reduced interest rates and increased consumption and investment demands are evident in the approaches of service companies, a scale of impact unseen since early 2022."
