On Thursday, the Ibovespa index experienced a modest uptick, trading around 162,500. This movement comes as investors keep a close watch on growing geopolitical tensions. Notably, the capture of two oil tankers connected to Venezuela in the Atlantic is drawing attention. Additionally, an announcement has been made that U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio plans to meet with Danish officials next week to address issues concerning Greenland.

In the market, Petrobras saw a 0.3% increase as oil prices stabilized, recovering some of the ground lost during the previous two sessions. This recovery persists amid worries that U.S. actions to control Venezuelan oil reserves may boost global oil supply. Meanwhile, Vale's shares declined by 1.3% due to a drop in iron ore prices.

Most financial institutions witnessed a positive trajectory, with Itaú leading the gains at 0.5%. The utilities sector also moved upward, highlighted by Axia's 1.3% rise. Embraer continued its upward trend, climbing 1.6% following a report of 244 aircraft deliveries anticipated in 2025, marking an 18.4% increase from 2024. In other developments, Ambev's shares fell by 0.9%, WEG recorded a slight upward movement, and Rede D’Or saw a marginal gain of 0.1%.
