In December 2025, Kosovo's annual inflation rate held steady at 5.3%, maintaining its fastest pace since April 2023 and mirroring the rate observed in November. There was accelerated price growth in sectors such as alcoholic beverages and tobacco, which increased by 6.2% compared to 5.7% in November, and in clothing and footwear, which rose by 3.5% from 2.6%. Additionally, housing and utilities experienced a notable rise at 10.7% compared to 8.8%, along with recreation and culture, which inched up to 1.0% from 0.9%. These increases were partly balanced by more moderate growth in the cost of food and non-alcoholic beverages, which slightly decreased to 8.6% from 8.7%, and in furniture, household appliances, and routine maintenance, which fell to 2.4% from 2.9%. Health expenses dipped to 6.3% from 7.0%, and transport costs declined to 0.3% from 1.5%. Meanwhile, prices remained consistent in education at 3.8%, restaurants and hotels at 8.5%, and miscellaneous goods and services at 3.4%. On a month-to-month basis, consumer prices in December saw a 0.7% increase, succeeding a 0.4% rise in November.
