In January 2026, Argentina's Consumer Confidence Index increased by 2.2% from the previous month, reaching 46.6. This marks a return to its upward trend, achieving the highest level seen in the past eleven months. The assessment of current conditions improved significantly, although expectations for the future slightly dipped. Specifically, the current conditions index rose by 7.88% since December, whereas future expectations decreased by 1.40%.

Detailed analysis of the sub-indices revealed a 9.90% rise in durable goods and real estate sectors, while the macroeconomic situation saw a 2.23% decline. The personal economic situation experienced a modest increase of 1.83%. Regionally, the most substantial gains were observed in the Interior, which experienced a 7.90% increase, compared to Greater Buenos Aires, which saw a slight decrease of 0.07%.

Examining consumer confidence based on income levels, there was a 1.27% increase among high-income households, while those in the low-income bracket experienced a more substantial rise of 3.32%. Despite these monthly improvements, the index was down by 1.72% compared to the same period in January 2025.
