2026.04.1006:00:00UTC+00Lithuania’s Producer Prices Surge in March, Marking Sharp Month-on-Month Acceleration

Lithuania’s Producer Price Index (PPI) recorded a steep month-on-month rise in March 2026, with the indicator reaching 10.20%, up from 1.90% in February 2026. The figures, updated on 10 April 2026, point to a significant acceleration in producer-level inflation across the Lithuanian economy.

On a month-over-month basis, the March reading shows that price pressures at the factory gate intensified markedly compared with the previous month, when producer prices rose at a much more moderate pace. According to the comparison methodology, the current figure reflects the change in March relative to February, while the previous indicator captured the change in February compared with January.

The sharp upswing in PPI suggests a rising cost environment for Lithuanian producers, which could, if sustained, filter through to consumer prices and corporate margins in the coming months. Market participants and policymakers are likely to monitor upcoming data closely to assess whether March’s spike represents a one-off jump or the start of a more persistent producer price trend.
