The Czech unemployment rate was 4.8% in June 2026, unchanged from May and matching market expectations. This marked the lowest level since December 2025, supported by ongoing seasonal hiring and a continuing economic recovery.

The number of unemployed fell by 2,718 from the previous month to 356,134, although this was still 40,669 higher than in June 2025. Women made up 53.6% of all registered job seekers. Recent graduates and young people accounted for 4.4% of total unemployment, down from 4.9% in May, while people with disabilities represented 12.7% of all registered unemployed.

In June, 42,154 job seekers left the unemployment register, 1,360 fewer than in May but 7,423 more than a year earlier. Of those leaving the register, nearly 30,000 found new jobs, with men representing 49.3% and women 50.7% of these newly employed.

At the same time, the number of registered job vacancies increased to 99,854 in June, up by 5,474 from the previous month and by 1,177 compared with June 2025.
