2026.07.2108:54:13UTC+00Slovenia Producer Inflation Hits Nearly 3-Year High

Slovenia’s producer prices rose 2.4% year-on-year in June 2026, up from a 2.1% increase in May and reaching their highest annual growth rate since July 2023. The acceleration was mainly driven by faster price growth in manufacturing (2.5% vs 2.2% in May) and in the electricity, gas, steam, and air-conditioning supply sector (2.1% vs 0.1%). In contrast, price growth slowed sharply in mining and quarrying (7.0% vs 12.7%).

By main industrial groupings, cost increases quickened for intermediate goods (3.2% vs 2.3%) and consumer goods (2.1% vs 1.9%), but eased for capital goods (1.4% vs 2.0%) and energy (1.3% vs 2.3%). On a monthly basis, producer prices rose 0.5% in June, slightly below the 0.7% increase recorded in May.
