2026.07.2705:00:00UTC+00Singapore’s Industrial Output Growth Cools Sharply to 7.2% in June YoY

Singapore’s industrial production growth slowed markedly in June 2026, with output rising 7.2% year-on-year, down from a robust 17.8% expansion recorded in May 2026.

The latest data, updated on 27 July 2026, shows that while the manufacturing sector continued to grow compared with June a year earlier, the pace of expansion has cooled significantly from the previous month. Both figures are calculated on a year-over-year basis, comparing each month’s performance to the same month in the prior year.

The shift from May’s double-digit surge to June’s more moderate gain suggests that the earlier strength in industrial activity may be normalizing, potentially reflecting easing base effects or a moderation in external demand. Investors and policymakers will be watching subsequent releases closely to see whether June marks the start of a sustained slowdown or a temporary pause after May’s outsized growth.
