The annual inflation rate in Bosnia and Herzegovina slowed to 4.2% in June 2026, down from 5.6% in May, reaching its lowest level since February. Prices for food and non-alcoholic beverages declined (-0.5% vs 0.6% in May), as did prices for clothing and footwear (-7.2% vs -6.9%).

Inflation also eased across several categories: alcoholic beverages and tobacco (3.4% vs 3.5%), housing and utilities (10.5% vs 11.5%), furnishings, household equipment and routine maintenance (1.1% vs 1.6%), transport (17.5% vs 23.7%), recreation and culture (3.0% vs 3.4%), education (1.8% vs 3.4%), restaurants and hotels (4.9% vs 5.6%), and other goods and services (1.8% vs 2.3%).

Inflation in communication services was unchanged at 3.3%, while health-related inflation inched up (5.7% vs 5.5%). On a monthly basis, consumer prices fell by 1.1% in June, following a 0.9% decline in May, marking a second consecutive monthly contraction after eight straight months of increases.
