2026.08.1008:54:14UTC+00Slovenia Industrial Output Hits 4-Month Low

Industrial production in Slovenia increased by 1.7% year-on-year in June 2026, easing from a 4.2% rise in May and marking the weakest annual expansion since February. The slowdown was primarily driven by softer growth in manufacturing output (2.5% vs 5.6% in May) and a deeper slump in mining (-48.5% vs -36.3%).

By contrast, output in electricity, gas, steam, and air-conditioning supply returned to growth, rising 5.1% after a 4.3% decline in the previous month.

Looking at product groups, production of consumer goods swung sharply into contraction (-3.9% vs +8.1% in May), weighed down by a pronounced reversal in non-durable consumer goods (-3.7% vs +15%). Meanwhile, output growth strengthened for intermediate goods (2.3% vs 1.1%) and capital goods (6.9% vs 6.3%).

On a monthly basis, total industrial production fell by 2% in June, reversing the 0.9% increase recorded in May 2026.
