2026.09.3007:30:00UTC+00Poland’s Inflation Reaccelerates to 4.0% YoY in September, Halting Disinflation Trend

Poland’s consumer price inflation picked up in September 2026, with the year-over-year CPI rising to 4.0%, up from 3.4% recorded in August 2026. The latest data, updated on 30 September 2026, marks a reversal of the recent disinflationary trend and suggests renewed price pressures in the Polish economy.

Both figures are based on year-over-year comparisons, measuring price changes relative to the same month a year earlier. The previous reading for August reflected a 3.4% increase in prices compared with August of the prior year, while the September print shows that consumer prices are now 4.0% higher than in September a year earlier.

The acceleration in CPI may rekindle concerns about inflation persistence in Poland, especially after a period where price growth appeared to be stabilizing at lower levels. Investors and policymakers will now be watching subsequent releases closely to determine whether September’s uptick proves temporary or signals the start of a renewed inflationary phase.
