2026.09.3007:46:40UTC+00DAX Rises for 2nd Day

Frankfurt's DAX 40 rose 0.6% to around 25,500 on Wednesday, marking a second consecutive session of gains as lower oil prices and steadier bond yields underpinned risk appetite. Easing concerns over energy supply—driven by improved flows from the Middle East and another sizable release from US strategic reserves—helped offset worries stemming from stalled US-Iran negotiations.

Investors now await fresh inflation data from Europe, with a particular focus on Germany, as well as new figures from the US. Most sectors traded higher, led by technology shares after Trump rejected plans for new federal AI regulations following talks with industry leaders at the White House. Industrials, pharmaceuticals & healthcare, and utilities also posted solid gains.

Among individual names, Heidelberg Materials and MTU Aero Engines were the top performers, adding 1.7% and 1.6%, respectively. Despite the day’s advance, the DAX remained on track for a 2.7% decline for the month, but was still set to close the quarter with a 2.2% gain.
