2026.11.0201:01:00UTC+00Ireland’s Manufacturing Momentum Eases Slightly as AIB PMI Slips to 55.2 in October

Ireland’s manufacturing sector remained firmly in expansion territory in October 2026, though momentum eased slightly, according to the latest AIB Ireland Manufacturing PMI data. The headline index edged down to 55.2 in October from 55.5 in September.

Despite the modest decline, the reading above the 50.0 threshold continues to signal growth in Irish manufacturing activity. The October figure suggests that while the pace of expansion slowed marginally, sector conditions remained generally positive through the start of the fourth quarter.

The updated data, released on 2 November 2026, point to a manufacturing landscape that is still growing, but at a slightly more measured rate compared with the previous month’s performance.
